For more than a thousand years, the cultures of China and Japan have evolved through continuous exchange, mutual learning, and shared inspiration.

Approximately 1,300 years ago, Venerable Jianzhen (Ganjin Wajo) brought not only Buddhism to Japan, but also the culture, craftsmanship, and artistic traditions of the Tang Dynasty, including the art of embroidery.

Embroidery has never been merely a decorative technique. It is a cultural expression that embodies craftsmanship, artistic beauty, and spiritual heritage, and has played an important role in the development of Japanese culture.

Respecting this rich historical legacy, LEAR Co., Ltd. is committed to integrating traditional embroidery craftsmanship with modern digital technology, creating new value in embroidery while serving as a bridge connecting Japan, China, and the global market.

Yangzhou, the hometown of Venerable Jianzhen (Ganjin Wajo), was not only the starting point of his historic journey to Japan, but also remains an enduring symbol of cultural exchange between China and Japan. As one of China’s most renowned centers of embroidery craftsmanship, Yangzhou has preserved and refined its rich artistic traditions for more than a thousand years.

Inspired by this heritage, LEAR Co., Ltd. embraces the spirit of traditional embroidery while integrating contemporary creativity with advanced digital technology, creating new possibilities for embroidery in today’s world.

To us, embroidery is far more than decoration. It is a universal language that connects people, cultures, history, and the future.

Through the preservation of traditional craftsmanship and continuous technological innovation, LEAR is committed to serving as a bridge between Japan, China, and the global market, sharing the beauty of Eastern embroidery culture with the world and passing its value on to future generations.
